Aztec Ducks!

My girls will only lay in smaller tight spaces. I have to have two different types of boxes for them. We keep playing Easter egg hunts in the morning because they were hiding their eggs in any nook or cranny they could find.

The ones they are using are storage totes that I cut holes in to let the birds get in. Nice and snug and dark in there.

They didn’t like my storage totes so I got some kitty litter containers and they seem to really like those.

It may sound crazy, but i am using simple card-board boxes for my ducks: I just cut the flaps on one side and dig them into the bedding and the girls love them.

My first set of eggs are developing!

Fingers crossed for Aztec ducklings on the 8th. Especially since literally the day my new netting went up over their pen a hawk got one of my porcelain hens in the morning Some of these eggs should be hers.
