    My B.B. Bronze turkey chick has no snood so I was wondering if that means it is a female. Are B.B. Bronze turkeys a heritage turkey or are they a meat turkey. I hope it is a heritage turkey so it can live as long as possible because nothing gets eaten on my bird farm all pets. And If it is a meat turkey how long do they live. Thank you for the information.

    BB = Broad Breasted

    Broad Breasted = meat turkey

    If it is a BB, it is not a heritage turkey.

    All turkeys have a snood whether they are male or female. If your turkey doesn't have a snood, it either has lost its snood somehow (perhaps an injury) or else it isn't a turkey.

    Please post a photo.

    Sorry, can't tell anything from that photo since it is too out of focus.

    It should be a picture taken from the side of the whole bird.
