A few thoughts:
1. I think it is an EXCELLENT idea.

2. In my experience, there is more activity and support here on BYC with regards to Dorkings than either the Dorking Breeder's Club or Dorking Yahoo Group. Maybe we could work out a way to "standardize" what information or requests, etc., go where (BYC Dorking Club, Dorking Breeders Club or Dorking Yahoo Group). Can you tell I am a consultant and often do process related work?

3. I am happy to help support you in this effort in anyway

SWEET! Thanks! Any support you offer would be wonderful!

There is definitely more activity here than the other two sites. Standardizing is an excellent idea. I own my own business & like to have a plan in place to simplify things.

I have eggs!!!

Went into the pen this morning to give out veggie scraps and what do I see sitting on the floor in the middle of the pen? A Dorking egg! Decided I better check the pen for others and found a second one in a hidden nest spot. Now to convince them to use the nest box...

I'm so happy, I've been waiting for them to lay so I can set some for Mahonri's Easter hatch.

They are 23 weeks old today so I was hoping they'd start in time. Also hoping Mr Dorking is the father but my Wellie roo is in there too so I'll either have Dorkings or Welly x Dorking sexlinks hatching out.

I like the idea of a poll. Would be interesting to see how many people do have Dorkings and what colors they have.

The Dorking Breeders Club is now over 60+ members. We hope to continue to grow and I hope all you BYC members join as well. The newsletters are now emailed to those that wish it and they are in color. I love to see Dorking enthusiasm!!

The dorkingbreedersclub.web is a nice place. I did find a person who wanted my Silver Greys and she is gonna trade me for her reds. I think it is nice to have both the Dorking thread here as well as the club. Moe people see it that way.

I'm with you, Dave! BYC is great for networking, promoting & we sure do have some lively debates!

The Official site has some excellent information! The more access people have to the Dorking, they farther they step from extinction.

Jim, I sent you a PM.

I have 2 questions -- please only respond if you actually have Dorkings, not just read about them.

1-Do your Dorkings lay "pure white" eggs?
Mine lay pale ivory or slightly tinted eggs, not white

2-What color Dorkings do you have?
2 Red, 1 Light Grey

Thanks!!!!
