B.Y.C. Dorking Club!

Ok how about another I just can't do 25 peepers my wife will have me sleeping under the coop.

Lol! There are a couple more:
Murray McMurray and I believe Ideal hatchery. However... Look up reviews from Dorking owners from all these hatcheries. Have you tried looking for a local breeder?

Don't laugh I have a fresh bail of hay just in case.I was hoping for a smaller breeder that ships less than 25.I am going nuts looking I don't see much talk about this breed.

Welly, if I see correctly, you're in Mass. If so, in NH you can get SG, Red and White Dorkings. There's someone on here, whose name I shamefully forget at the moment, who's breeding SG's. Perhaps, you could get them for ick-up. In NH it is the law that all day-ols ust be sold in sets of 12 or more.

Good luck!

Gotcha...so I guess what I was thinking about was the stacking effect in the males...so the incomplete dominance thing.
because the male has two copies it is stronger in the male, hence the male chicks have diluted coloration.
right. but because a hen can only have 1 copy, there is no intermediate between red and silver.

think of the roos like you would with blue/black/splash. silver is similar (for roosters).
