Very Sad morning! My husband went out to chemist on the chickens only to find them all dead! Something got in and killed them all. Took one with it!
Yesterday 4 of the roosters got butchered for the freezer. I think a fox took advantage of them being without extra protection so as of now we are without chickens all together! Very sad!

Thanks, I just don't see a domestic cat killing them all...the tracks were small and we do have two species of fox up here.

Oh, no, that sucks. how awful. we had a fox problem this summer coming during the daytime and just about frustrated me to death. finally conquered it (fingers crossed) by enclosing their entire area with expensive electric net fencing.

fox are true to their cunning reputation and a hard animal to beat.

Dorkings seem to be tolerating the cold. Coldest this past week was 1degree. Brrr.
