If your contact doesn't work out, I'll see if my brother is coming up for Easter. He lives near Harrisburg.

Jen's right... you will love the Dorkings best of all! So will your kids.

Look at the page before this one... That's my son with his favorite lap-chicken who is a Dorking! He'd have her as a free-ranging house chicken if I'd let him.

WOW! You guys work fast! Maybe the government should use this forum to straighten out all those silly problems in the Middle East....

Harrisburg is an hour and a half. We could meet in Lancaster--it's about half-way. I'm suppose to pick them up "the week of April 26th." The feed store changed the wording--it use to say just "April 26th, but I think they've been having a problem with delieveries.

I can PM you my email and phone number if that's helpful.

The chicks are from Ideal. Is that really good for some reason? Why would it be better than another hatchery?

Thanks so much for all this help!

Dorkings are ridiculously hard to find! There's a person on the Yahoo club who's been waiting a year for her Dorking order. Hatcheries sell out fast & I've never seen one in a feed store around here. I would be thrilled if I did!

Many of us on this thread are involved in Dorking preservation. You are going to fall in love with the one that you have!

Feel free to PM or email me!
