(((SIGH)))) she is beautiful, and I want one! ..... but you are doing a super job well done! and keep posting pics of the beautiful one.......

she is so cute I want one although the goats are getting out way to many times to think about getting another animal that needs a pen

Love it! Great job!
I have rehabbed many animals, but never had much luck with fawns. ((They were too new and attacked by dogs, one was hanging in barbed wire by its back leg for a while....))

There is a great Raptor rehab in Louisville, KY. You should google it and see if you can find it. Great info last I looked.

I knew a guy that raised deer. I went down to his farm to see his exotics and came home with a silver fox. You should have seen the fence on his deer pens. I think it was chain link and like 12 feet tall!!

wow, just now found this thread. Looks like you are doing good with the fawn.

buck or doe ?? Hope a doe, bottle fed bucks are very dangerous, during the rut. Deer breeders have been killed by bottle fed bucks during the rut, never trust one no matter how tame, they have no fear of humans, and will attack during the rut.

Will read all the thread, let me know if you need more info, have raised a few.

6 bottles a day is to much, and will give it the runs.

She doesn't always drink to the very bottom but I usually feed her til 10-11 at night too LOL she's a little pig then no wonder she's getting a little round around the middle. How old are they when the doe weans them? My dad has been curious about that.

In the wild about 5 months, but you can wean them once they are eating well.

Feed them a good goat feed, also goat milk is good to bottle feed them. At 3 week I would try to see if she will eat a little goat feed. Then you can start cutting down on the bottle feeding.

I would give mine a bottle once a day, even when she was 6 months old, not that she need one.

You can buy goatmilk at the store right or do you have to find someone with a goat?

Honestly...I'd just get your dad to get a rehabber permit and keep it!

(Get an orange halter that goes around her middle rather than a collar.)
