I wouldn't worry about her top teeth not being there- I'm guessing they may not come through as quickly, in order to aide in the ability to nurse. They'll show up eventually. As for the eating of the dirt, probably normal, and won't hurt. If you are worried about her not getting the minerals she needs, you can get generic mineral or salt licks at TSC or Orschlen's if you have one closeby, they are fairly cheap, and may alleviate some of the dirt eating. Anyhow, best of luck!
 
My dad raised a fawn when he was little. It's mother had been hit and killed. It would come in the house and wake him up in the mornings (bounding up the stairs and figuring out how to open the door) and sit near the table with them during supper time. He loved to tell stories about that baby! Here's my two sense: just because it is (or might be in this case) the law doesn't mean it's right. You did just what I would have done, good luck

how adorable !!! You did awsome ! I wouldve done the same thing if I were you guys. I couldnt live with myself knowing that the little baby couldve been killed on the road.
