Babies almost here, what else do I need?

So my babies are due to hatch any day now. This will be my first time having chicks/chickens. What do I need for them? I have:
•a brooder w/bedding
•red 250 watt light
•water dish with marbles
•feeder w/medicated chick starter
.thermometer
•chick stick (treat)
•chick electrolytes

Can any pros give me any more ideas of what they might like? Do they just sleep out in the open? Any special toys or objects they will feel comforted with?

Sounds like you are well prepared and excited

Do a pre test on your brooder. Make sure your temps are good and steady (no drafts) What kind of bedding?

Make sure you have any neccesary tools on hand for assisted hatching if needed.

Ok, I'm testing the brooder right now. I have the light on and the thermometer right in the comer under the light. I'm using the paper bedding. The soft kind that you can use for guinea pigs or rabbits, is that kind ok?
