Will they be able to find their feeder on their own?

They usually do. I like to dip their bills in the water.

I am feeding duck starter, do I need to add the Brewers yeast to it or will duck starter have enough on its own?

Some people do, some don't.

It's hot here, how old do they have to be before I can let them explore for short periods of time?

Supervised? They can go out in a few days.

That was my blue scale quail. She died 2 years ago.
She was 7 or 8 so she was old. I miss her so much! She was the best quail I ever had. She even would talk to you.
