It is the leg color that has me completely baffled. Of the chicks I ordered, the dead chick and the one I labled Campine and mystery chick 1 all have dark legs. According to my info, dark legs belong to the campine (blue legs) and easter eggers (green or slate). That would indicate that I lost either a Campine or an EE. Since the markings aren't Campine, that leaves Easter Egger. But what about that yellow chick with the puffy cheeks? The only chicks I ordered that are ordinarily yellow are the Delawares (2 of them) and possibly an EE since they can be any color.
Can EE's have yellow or darker yellow legs? Can Partridge Rocks have dark legs? Of course these are hatchery chicks, so I suppose anything is possible.
I think I'll just hope for girls and call it good. Maybe MPC can sort it out when they give me credit on my next order (chicken math at work) of all EE's
Thanks for the input on the GLW. I couldn't find decent pics of the little ones.
