Babies due Saturday! :D

Yes, please keep us posted. Poor little guy. Can't you get him a chick buddy?
No point. By the time I got it the others would be hatched. I went to check on the duck and there is no visible progress. I was disappointed until I picked up an egg and felt/hurt it trying to pip! I should have babies by tomorrow, but hopefully this evening.

I have 6 eggs incubating and I can't wait! But one is the size of a dime and not sure it will hatch... But still exited!

I have a thread about that egg, so I hope you take a peak at it! Can't wait 'till they hatch!

They are all cornish games,my grandfathers, but I love hatching!
Can you post a link, or what its called?

perhaps something internally wasnt quite fully developed (his little chicky feet imp[lied his wasnt quite fully "baked"!)
Such a cutie too.....

I thought the same. I knew when he hatched that he was wrong, so it's totally possible something was internally wrong and just took awhile to show itself.

did the ducklings hatch ok?
They are still hatching!

I noticed some pips, and went to look closer and saw fire ants all in the nest. I've lived in Texas long enough to know that you can't be trying to hatching chicks with fire ants around them. They will get eaten right up. I swapped out the eggs and put the duck eggs in the incubator. So far, we have 4 or 5 pips. That's it! They are peeping, rocking, pecking, but making no progress. I have a plan, and I hope it works. :\
My plan:
When it gets dark, put Thor under Mama duck. Wait until they get cozy looking. Move Mama and Thor to front yard.
Get up at 5:00-ish in the morning. Put hatched ducks (if any) under Mama while it's still dark.

Think it'll work? 0.o
