Love the feathered feet. I have silkies and this is why I love them so much.Guess who's 2w2d old today?!?!
My Cochin chicks! They still don't have names, but they're the cutest little things ever...they're leg feathers are really starting to come in now and they've doubled in size in the past week.
I locked down the incubator tonight after one final candling. I definitely have movement in 3 eggs, the rest are really dark and I can't see through them [I can see the air pocket at the top of the egg though, so hopefully I get more than 3 chicks out of this hatch. They're due Friday, I'm already pacing my house like a mad woman!

Yeah. I was (am) really sad, but I guess it's a sweet story. He thought he was gonna go for a swim with his brothers and sisters. He never even noticed he was different from them. It was something I was afraid of from the beginning, but I just didn't have a better option. I wish it had gone better, but what's done is done. He had a happy life with his little ducky family.oh, poor ThorIts amazing how high the little ones can flap! I suppose it really is the hazard thinking you're duck! He had a great time while he was around though.
