Babies have arrived! Pics! And now with video!

I saw Pepper do that. So cute. And funny. Now, when the 4 girls grow up, will they become integrated with the older girls or not? I wanna know cuz John, my friend, just brought 2 newbies, a KC and Rouen into his mix with a Pekin and a Welsh H. So far the 2 pairs stay as far apart as possible and are even fearful of each other.

Hopefully they will integrate. The big girls seem afraid of the little ones, and I'm sure Pepper didn't help matters at all. I plan on them having "together time" every day until it's time for them to move out there. Maybe by then (in about 3 weeks) they'll be used to each other.

They have now been moved to their kiddie pool brooder... I woke up Saturday morning, and the bathtub was FULL of poop, and the ducklings were filthy from laying in it. I had just cleaned it before I went to bed, too. TIME TO MOVE. We got a pool and some hog wire to wrap around it, and filled it with shavings. They really weren't sure about it at first, but now they're fine.

They're in the addition off of our bedroom, so we can close the door and not worry about the cats. You have to go through that room to get to the outside, so the dogs are getting a good introduction to the ducklings. The newness is wearing off, and neither dogs nor ducklings seem to mind anymore.

Awww so sweet. I wondered how long they would last in the tub lol. We got some outside time today.

LOL! Yours look like mine when I take them outside. "Errrmmm... it's all weird and stuff out here. What are we supposed to do? HUDDLE!"

Yep, that sounds just like them! I don't think any of them ever get more than 5 feet from the others. But if I squat down and say "come on babies" and hold my arms open, they run straight to me! So cute!

It's an interesting observation from a study type of standpoint. My buddy is kinda doing the same thing you are regarding together time with his new ones just as you are.

It's definitely interesting watching them interact. One of the big ducks (Poke) decided to charge the group and run over the top of them. Sent everyone flying, and rolled a couple of them over. I don't think this is going to be easy.
