Babies have arrived! Pics! And now with video!

I like it, and 6 bucks? Cant beat that with a stick!

It'll wind up being closer to $50 once we're finished, since the siding and the roofing material has to be purchased. But still, not bad, considering that it's going to be sturdier than my house when we're finished with it.

I love the updates. What hatchery did they come from? Metzners? Mine come we say from them. So excited.
I ordered two buff duck hens. Keeping one, the others going home with someone else who also has a dumped make duckling who showed up at there door step.

Yep, I got them from Metzer's not quite 5 weeks ago. They did great! Mine didn't arrive until a Thursday, so I was a bit worried, but they made it just fine. They're all super healthy ducks, too. If/when I order more ducks, I'll definitely use Metzer's again.

Kaessa, I have to tell you, I went out to feed the ducklings this morning. They got in the pool, and when they got out, they flapped their wings as they do, and they have long wings now! Like almost overnight! So very cool...

I don't understand how they can grow so fast. It's crazy.

We are SO close to just moving outside. As soon as the duck house is finished, they're all moving out. They have about 90% of their feathers now, and they love to be outside. They're coexisting with Peek and Poke... not friends yet, but they tolerate each other.

I thought everyone would get a kick out of the happy duck noises in this video.

And yes, I'm pretty sure I miscalculated, and Peek and Poke are actually Mallards and not Rouens. The babies are already taller than they are. So, my first guess was correct.

Those are some cute little duckies! A mallard mixed duck and her mate have set up a nest in my flower garden next to my front door. Any advice?

Cute! No advice in particular, but if you want them to raise some babies there, just make sure you don't disturb their nest.

What kind of pool thing is that, it looks like it's supposed to be a sand box, correct? So much cooler than a bright blue kitty pool. Harder to flip I bet though?

I just used my pistol with a laser sight on it to tease my ducklings! Omg how incredibly adorable! I had all 4 of them going in one circle behind each other chasing that light! It feels so cruel, so I only did it for a few seconds, but that was some good entertainment! Lol
