There are.lots of turtles because there is probably a good food source. My guess is there are snapping turtles in the lake as well, and the baby will stay in the shallow water till it gets bigger.

We’re going to go to the lake bc it’s a crossed the road. Turtles in their two. Lots of swampy areas.
