Yesterday afternoon, after much waiting and anticipation, my first Call Duck finally hatched, 3 days late! I had bought 6 White Call hatching eggs off eBay, and 5 made it to lockdown..... but only one hatched.
Can anyone help me identify the colour? It looks like a blue or maybe black ancona?
ETA: I do fully understand that ducklings shouldn't be reared alone, but due to Bird Flu restrictions (DEFRA are advising people not to sell birds) and also the fact that people in my area only start hatching in late spring/ early summer, I can't find anyone selling day old ducklings.
