Baby chick acting strange

I'm sorry :(:hugs You did the best you could, vitamins probably would not have helped either. When they have bad insides, there's nothing you can do but love them until they go.

Thank you, we think he might have gotten trampled during transport and just couldn't recover

I've had that happen before, the hatchery had them crammed in there so tight that by the time they arrived, couple of the chicks had no use of their legs and died a couple days later.
And sometimes in the brooder, they can get rowdy and cause a "stampede". If one gets in the way they just stomp right over it. They are wild babies, accidents happen all the time, it's nothing we have control over

At this point just keep close watch on the rest. Make sure they are filling their crops. Hopefully the one was injury or birth issues and not illness. If chickens are like other birds they hide illness and are fragile. But hardier than I thought because I bought six expecting to lose two and didn’t. My understanding is chick loss is to be expected though so don’t beat yourself up.

The other 6 are active, eating, drinking, and overall being normal baby chicks! Happy to say no issues! Thank you all for your responses and help
