Baby chick is struggling to poop

I I really hope he doesn’t pass away bc of this and I can help him… he’s one of my favorites.
Do the best you can.

If he doesn't go or he starts to decline...
I don't normally recommend this for tiny chicks, but you could give him a little molasses water to see if that helps him go. Molasses acts as a laxative or flush in chickens.
For a little one, I'd mix about 1/4tsp molasses with 1tblsp warm water. Syringe or give him drops of the liquid and see if he poops in about 10minutes or so.

I'm not sure what it is but I would recommend giving it some extra vitamins and minerals. I have a container called "rooster booster" that I got at Tractor Supply. It is supposed to be dissolvable in the chicks water and I have used it on one of my chicks that was not doing well before and then it did better after a few treatments of the rooster booster.

I will Look into that… he is actually doing better today but this would be good to give him to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
He managed pass the poo this morning… I was up late with him and up early … he is back to eating and drinking water. And doing his regular stuff. So I am super thankful for that and the advice given here

I have searched and searched and everything I have found talks about pasty butt…. But I don’t feel like it answers my question of what’s going on with my chick… so hoping y’all can help me.
My baby chick was having pasty butt and I was cleaning his butt but now he seems constipated and can’t poop, now matter how much he tries. He is quite swollen when he tries to poop.
I have given him a warm Epsom bath until he decided he was done and got out on his own. Still hasn’t pooped, I continue clean the very tiny bit that comes out…. Is there anything else I can do for him to help him pass his poop?? They are only about 3 almost 4 weeks old
I have a chick right now that is experiencing the same exact problem and I hate to watch him and feel helpless to the matter, did you ever find a solution?

Welcome To BYC

This thread is a little older, so the OP may not reply.
Is your chick constipated or does she have pasty butt?
Can you post photos of her, her vent, poop and the brooder?
How old is she and what is the temperature in the brooder?

Hydration is very important so if your chick is not drinking well, then you'll want to encourage her to drink or you can give her drops of water.

It’s vent appears to be okay but I can see that the craw is full and the backside of the chick looks like it is about to pop
