I have a baby chick that was born with curled toes on both feet. I taped them and they improved but still not 100%. I set him down on a towel and he leans to one side and falls over if he tries to walk. Should I be treating for splayed leg? He’s eating, drinking, and pooping fine. Acting fine otherwise.

Do you have pictures? Start on human vitamin b complex 1/4 tablet daily given orally— crush into a spoonful of water. Or use a chick vitamin that has riboflavin, and many do not.It could be a slipped tendon, but I would not splint or treat for splayed leg as long as it is getting around okay.

He’s not getting around very well. He’s hobbling to get to food and water and trying to flap his wings.
