Here's my beautifully pathetic-looking hen. She's still losing feathers while also half growing others.

Instead of a fuzzy turkey head, she is sporting a Mohawk and 5-o-clock shadow.


For some reason the undercarriage hasn't molted yet, so she appears to be wearing fluffy pants

No worries! That is perfectly fine!
I love the 'pants'.

She's a 3 year old sapphire olive egger. She molts much harder than the rest of my flock. My DH thought we had lost a chicken to a predator because of all the feathers in the yard
