Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

Aww..brand new. I hatched some a couple of days ago. Will have to post my RIR's. All nice and fluffy red. :) what is this little chick of yours?
I have some RIR hatching in 17 days..this is my first time hatching so I was really excited...it is a mix between a BSL and a GLW :-)

Oh, that should be a pretty nice looking chicken. :) I me some RIR's. :)) Great layers. Your lttle one there should be too, if it's a pullet. :) Of course!

Here is my 13 1/2 week old rooster; they grow up so fast.

2 weeks old......they are getting to be a rowdy bunch!
I am amazed at their feather growth (first chicks for me).
Of course their little flight feathers seemed to start growing the first day and filled in pretty well by the end of the first week.
Then the tails and a couple on the back where the wings attach, then the leading edge of the wings.
Now they've got pin feathers down the middle of the back and both sides of the breast from throat to belly.
All but 1 of 8 have feathered feet and those started growing in the first week also.

Uno, Dos, Tres, and Quatro are developing well. Mrs. O'Brien has taken on the role of a second mama hen to them in the absence of chicks of her own to raise. I suspect she'd take her own chicks into her care again in a heartbeat if I gave her the chance, but it's hard getting her to go where I want her.

My favorite chick in this brood, Dos is developing some gorgeous colors.

Mrs. O'Brien helps Uno and Tres find food.

A single black dot hints at Uno's father.

Really hoping that Quatro turns out to be a hen and not a rooster as I am fearing.

Cinco and Seis in their new/old home. Up until yesterday, they were still living in my office.
