Australorps start out black on top with white chin, throat, and belly, like a tiny fluffy butler. As they feather out, their feathers come in solid black, with a few white juvenile feathers that they should lose by their first molt.
 









Wanted to share a few photos of my lil fave chick right now! She is the most docile and curious. She loves to check me out and will just stand in my hand forever. The only thing is, I don't know "what" she is. What breed she is? Any one have any guess on that?

That is what I thought she was but I was told that the chicks usually have a white spot on their head or back or red on them somewhere. But she didn't.
They may have some brown in their down, but the three I just got are the spitting image of yours. If I understand correctly, they should only have the white dot if they're males. :)
