aww to cute
I have never had any trouble integrating new chickens into my flock. I have a big coop and everyone free ranges though, and it's always a large group of young chickens getting mixed in. Every one learns their place very soon and there's no longer any issues. And apparently my head rooster is a very understanding guy. One of my really young EE Cockerels was trying to spar with him the other day. And he just fixed him with a rooster are you kidding me face and the little guy calmed right down. Chickens are so funny. The cockerel is only maybe 3-4 months old, and my big roo is a bout a year and a half. So he is huge and the little guy is tiny. Lol

teenage roosters are rough on hens too. I always have bald hens when a rooster Is just getting started. Gets on my nerves. I have to get rid of some roosters soon or my hens are going to be hurt and there is likely to be some fights. Because I have have a teenage rooster, and some up and coming cockerels. The teenage roo has already been trying to kill the younger cockerels and that doesn't bode well. I have 4 EE cockerels coming up and 4 adult roosters already. The other 3 adults are fine but my youngest roo also an EE is not going for it. I have I think 11 or 12 young birds and 4 are roosters... so for real I've got to get rid of some. My instinct says to get rid of the teen EE. But he makes me some really pretty mixed chicks, but one of the up and comers is going to be an amazingly beautiful rooster so I am 100% keeping him. So I think the teen has to go.I have never had any trouble integrating new chickens into my flock. LOL I have some of that just now starting. I brought home some 8 week olds a month ago and one of my BAs has turned out to be a cockerel. My roo is a 1 1/2 year old EE and he just kinda does the quick look with the little "err?" noise that sounds like a question. Maybe he's saying the same as yours! haha
I may keep another roo later but this little guy is gonna go. My rooster is awesome and the pullets aren't liking the teenage boy in their midst.
