Some of the BBS English Orpingtons I got from @Papa Brooder. They're adorable. Now that they've settled in, I need to take some individual closeups.

Selfie with Leonard!

Leonard is 8 weeks old now and doesn't look like much of a baby, but as long as he's still cheepin', it still counts!

Both of these chicks are from the same hatch, but while the black chick had a perfectly normal, healthy hatch, the leghorn behind it struggled to survive after hatching too early. Despite the odds, she pulled through, and is now on her way to being a normal, happy chick.

My most reliable broody, Riley Roo, just hatched out 5 more baby chicks that, once again, are just as cute as buttons. Now, since they're my chickens, you might think I'm exaggerating, or tending to be biased. Well, I can say without a doubt, that this is just not the case because for this hatch I got a second opinion...Riley Roo's! Needless to say, she completely agreed with me...lol !!!
So here they are...2 splash and 3 blues. No names yet, and I don't even want to think about their gender right now. Just want to enjoy them enjoying themselves being babies !!!

FOUR DAYS AFTER HATCHING !!!

FOUR MINUTES AFTER THE LAST ONE HATCHED !!!

THIS LITTLE BUGGER IS STILL WET FROM THE EGG !!!

GETTING OUT OF THAT CONTRAPTION IS HARDER THAN
IT LOOKS !!! "I'm tired & have been alive a whole 7 mins.

I think I need a nap."

And so he does. Right then and there. Just drops to the ground
like a sack of potatoes, to have a little rest.

"I look and feel so much better after my little power nap!"

So i did some work in the run today and added some natural roosts. The white Turken and the black Turken were the only two to take advantage of them and play on the branches.

I moved the brooder lamp from the nesting box side to the roosting bar side and the Turken roo was the first of all 11 chicks to figure out how to roost and within an hour.

The poor Salmon Faverolle is going to have some terribly ugly teenage years. She has feathers jutting out everywhere and they seem to be showing up overnight.

a lady gave me back this roo after a year. he was jumping on the grandkids. I am not afraid of chickens so when he tried to jump me I caught him and took him home. I hatched him from an egg. with 2 sisters they came out frizzle, he didn't. his mom is this cochin hen she is smooth. below is a sister. the pic below is him as a baby with one of the sisters. and his babies. the lady who gave him back gave me some of his babies too because I had given away the sisters .
What kind of rooster is he?
