Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

I would have to see a pic, Tappy.

No biggie. I forgot to grab one of that bin, so was just curious. One of the options for that pullet bin was Tetra Tints and another was Amberlinks, so thinking it may have been one of them.

Three of the newbies!!! Sooooo tiny! I think the first two are chochins. And the other is a Russian orloff I think it was called.
I'm so loving them. Can't stop staring lol

It's not an obvious male yet but it could still turn into one.

I hope not. The Buff Orpingtons were purchased as pullets. The other three were straight run so we knew there was probably at least one rooster.

I took the chicks outside today to play and the black one and the white one kept running up to each other and circling and chest bumping. Should I be worried about them fighting?

Nah.....even female chickens will rumble, all part of the pecking order thing.

Our day old chicks from the farm supply arrived right after our Blue Maran hatched three chicks. We gave them to her--all 6--and she is happily and contentedly taking care of 9 baby chicks now. She is Mother Supreme!

After looking at Mt Healthy's website...I think the bin of assorted pullets at TSC today was Rhode island reds, a breed we've been on the lookout for!! But not sure if we should get anymore since we have 24 already and are waiting to see who we can weed out, since most were straight run. Oh the decisions... Plus, the older chicks (SLWs) are almost 3 1/2 weeks old and are ALOT bigger than these babies would be... Hrm...
