My chicks are now 7 weeks old. I didn't weigh them this week because they are getting a little big for my little scale. I plan on moving them outside the weekend before Thanksgiving since I have that week off and will be able to keep an eye on them. I've got a spot cornered off for them in my chicken run and will keep them separated from my 5 buff orp and prod reds for a week or two. Will be nice to not have to clean the brooder every week. Some of them have been sniffling and sneezing for a few weeks and have started using VetRX on them and some seem to be doing better with that treatment. Mary is the only one that appears to still be sniffling a little.

OOPS. I came home with three silkies tonight. I wanted 1 silkie and a friend wanted 2-3 so i got 3 from a customer of mine and i'll keep the 1 partridge and she is taking the blue, the buff and my sizzle roo home with her to start her new little flock.
