When I introduce a new chick to an older chick, I put the new chick in a little basket with a hand warmer covered by a little chicken quilt, and let them talk to each other until the little chick is strong enough to run and play. I also put little grain on the quilt.

Hatched last night and was fluffed up by mid-morning.



This may be the last of my cold delayed hatch though I do have one last egg in the incubator from the group. I will leave it in until my quail eggs hatch and see what happens. If it hatches it will be very very late.
This little one joined mama and its sibs in the coop.
