I think with bantams it is 2 sq ft per bird. You could make a roof with plywood and aluminum roof panels

All 30 chicks from Ideal and 1 hatchling I added 2 weeks later, doing good. Am working on getting repurposed chicken wire onto new twisted wire enclosed pen. So hopefully, weather permiting, I will get chicks out of freezer in next few days.
