I purchased a set of 3 started birds, one of those was a little Welly. But that set of started birds was always a bit skittish. My girls would come to hand, the new girls were arms length at best.

My little Welly got sick and by the time I figured out something was wrong, it was too late for her. This will be my first full attempt with Welsummers. I've wanted them for many years, and it's time for rotation.

My little Welly got sick and by the time I figured out something was wrong, it was too late for her. This will be my first full attempt with Welsummers. I've wanted them for many years, and it's time for rotation.

I don't like started pullets either, but then the only one I have ever gotten was ill when I got her.
