Good morning, I have a baby chick with a swollen eye. I treated her eye with coconut oil for 4 days, 2 times per day. And now I have treated her with colloidal silver for 3 days in the am and castor oil in the pm. But I don't see is helping. I have been reading in all the post, but I have not found something similar. And it looks like she is losing her feathers. Please help! Also, I want to mention that I am fermenting her food to help with immune system and pasty but. Thank you for your help!

Were you putting the coconut oil directly in her eye? Coconut oil burns like heck when it gets in your eye and can cause severe irritation, redness, blurry vision and even local site swelling. I accidentally got it in my eye one time and I looked like I got punched in the face. Stop with the coconut oil, go to your local farm store and get a vetracyn poultry eye flush solution along with some terramycin. Usually I start with the flush and if needed use the terramycin. Your chick is a frizzle that is why its feathers look like that.

Thank you for your reply HollwofWisp. But her feathers are falling off. I will try the flush and the terramycin for the eye.

She's losing the feather's that she has, no new feathers as far as I can tell.
