Baby chicken can't walk and isn't growing!!

This is a method of euthanization for when a chick is in pain suffering, just like having your vet put down a very sick dog or cat. Sometimes chicks are born with birth defects they can't overcome, and if you choose to raise chickens, you need to know how to cull them. Just part of responsible animal ownership, nothing fun about it.

I regret to inform everyone that Forrest passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning. He was a fighter but he just couldn't do anymore. His best friend was by his side when he passed. Thanks for all your help. Without your help he would of suffered more so thank you. His best friend (a chicken) is a little lost without him but hopefully she will get better. Looking forward to helping more baby chickens in the future but Forrest was definetly one of a kind. <3

Jenny has not left my side all day. She even had a nap in my bed with me this afternoon. She cries her heart out if I go out of sight for just a second. She follows me around the house and even had to sit in while I had a shower. Poor baby is so lost without her mate. Hopefully with time it will get better.
