Hi everyone,

I am happy to announce I have 12 baby chickens. I am so excited, but I need to know some stuff to ensure they are well taken care of. At the moment they are in a fish tank with a heat lamp. They seem happy and they have a water feeder. But how long till I can put them outside? I have a chicken coop that is enclosed, but it's really hot out there and I don't want them dying from the heat. So what time frame am i looking at? Thank you guys , this really helps

I would wait till they have their feathers. Which I think is a month. Some may let them out sooner, but to me a tiny ball of fluff is way too easy of a target for predators.
