So I moved the girls out to the coop this morning. So far so good. They’re still trying to figure out how to get up to the roosts. Even with a stool and some logs for them climb up to it on. BUT, I put some regular horse stall PDZ in the poop board and a bit got on the floor and they’re digging around pecking it and possibly eating it? I’ve read on here and other places it’s ok for older chickens to eat but they are about 6 weeks old. Is it ok for chickens this young as well?

I think it will be fine if just a small amount spilled into the shavings. Chickens peck around and consume dirt.

I'll tell you, I would prefer to have PDZ granules instead of that powder. For me anyway, the powder gets really caked and heavy - doesn't sift out like the granules. You may find the powder works fine for you though. (I didn't pay attention at the feed store when they were loading...I got TWO bags of powder instead of granules - working on that 2nd bag now - uggh! LOL)

Are there any warnings on the label?I would probably not use it on the poop board for now.

Nothing on the label warns about consumption by any animal or about advisement against using on small chickens, etc.
