Baby chicks and well water

We have well and softner and never had problems with our peeps.Both us and all our animals drink it and never had a problem.We do have it tested now in then but my husband is the lab tech for the water treatment plant for the city so it's free I would think city water would be more harmful to them with all the chlorine they put in it.My husband sees the process and refuses to drink city water now.LOL
Your peeps should be just fine.If you must I would boil it to take the nitrates out of it if your that concerened.

Iron heavy well water won't hurt your peeps, it's a good healthy mineral. We have iron heavy water in our area and there hasn't been a case of anemia in over 30 yrs.
