Baby chicks are in the house!

Had a couple of hours this morning with them then had to go to work got home about 6:30 pm my wife and 6 grand children have been with them all day just loving it. Dang, they're as cute as puppies!! My wife, Elaine, has been cleaning their little butts several times today, I think she just likes holding them. I've got the next 12 days off (PTO) and will be getting the foundation for our coop and runs ready. Coop should be here in about a month and the runs are sitting in our carport waiting to be assembled. I'm thinking about building a larger enclosure in the meantime cause I know they are going to outgrow that 3'x4' brooder box very quickly. Thanks for the contact. I'll take some photos/videos tomorrow.

I ordered a group called "best egg layers" I got 6 yellow and 9 black and white LOL. I think 3 are Leggerns, 3 are Buff Orpingtons, maybe some Rhode Island Reds or New Hampshire Reds or Barred Plymouth Rocks or Australop. I can't tell. I'll post some photos tomorrow.
If they have black backs and a white spot on their heads with yellow legs, they are BRs.

Years of accidentally learning on the job.
How are you enjoying your first day with chicks?!?! :celebrate
