Baby chicks countdown thread!

So, thankfully I signed up for the usps text updates because my post office never called me. I got a text at 230 that the chicks were at the post office but I was seeping so I didn't hear it. I had the volume on if they called but they never did. I woke up at 8 and rushed over there and they tried to tell me they can't service me until 9. I went off on them. Thankfully all of the chicks were alive. I have the set up with the other and there was some pecking but I think more of interest pecking and not mean. I'll let them rest then get some pictures later. Surprisingly the extra chicks they sent are red sexlinks and are girls.

I think placing the order, even if it is months away, makes you impatient. I ordered earlier this month for a few months out. I think my sleep pattern is getting back to normal.

Alright, 2 silver laced wyandottes and 4 black sexlinks. We also got 2 red sexlinks but they were eating so I didn't want to disturb them. And the last picture shows the new ones trying to scratch with the older ones. Everyone seems to be doing great together. One of the older ones and younger ones were cuddled sleeping together also.

I had to clean it out a bit. Somehow trash got in there and I wanted to be sure they wouldn't try and eat whatever plastic trash it was.

I switched up my order since they wont have certain breeds

1 australorp
1 blue laced res wyandotte
1 salmon faverolle
1 buff orpington
And maybe an isa brown still but they probably wont get them in with the other chicks so i will have to get a different breed.

They look so adorable and snuggly in the pic where you are holding the 4 BSL! How fun!
