Hello.
I live in Florida and I have 4 almost 3 week old chicks on my screened in back porch.

Should I have their heat light on 24/7 or only at night ???

I begin to wean my brooder chicks at 3 weeks, no heat by 4 weeks. I would leave it on at night for another week since they are used to it.
My mama hen has babies this year, here they are at 2 weeks, outside running around when it's 50º and rarely going under her....

I also wean early (by 4 weeks) however that's a gradual process, you shouldn't simply turn off heat on them if they aren't used to it yet.

Assuming you haven't weaned them down to ambient temperatures, you need to have the heat lamp on when it's cooler and turn it off if it does get hot during the day, which it might be for you.
