Baby chicks sick

As far as the greens, I just meant that while they seem ill or not right, I wouldn't give them anything their little crops had to work to grind up. Chicks with broody moms do eat many things that brooder-raised chicks may not, but if a chick has an issue, I just think it best they only have starter till the issue is resolved.

Oh I agree .... no point to straining their little systems. I try to raise all my chicks at least for a while with their moms just so they learn how to be proper chickens...lol. I just like watching them together.

Nothing more adorable than a new chicken mom with her babies!

I dont have lots of broody personalities in my flock, so that opportunity comes few and far between.
