Lovely haul today If anyone is interested, I'll be at the Hubbard Farm & Ranch next Saturday for the farmers market. There will be all kinds of birds for sale, but I'll have baked goods

Blueberry lemon cinnamon rolls Wanted to test drive the recipe before the farmers market next weekend. They are filled with homemade lemon curd, with lemon cream cheese frosting and blueberry compote

Calypso and the F2 blue wheaten OE cockerel I kept found their way into the coop and secured a spot

After all the rain the little littles (splash marans and 1 OE BC) ended up with coccidiosis. Fixed their water up with corid and cleaned out their coop. They are active, eating, and drinking, soIn other news, my shipped eggs that were supposed to be dominant white x ermine were total crap, some scrambled and most didn't develop. Out of the 4/15 that made it to lockdown 1 hatched, was black and had an umbilical hernia (I cleaned it with iodine and have been putting neosporin on it daily, she's doing great! She got a little lonely all by herself so I picked her up 4 buff brahma pullets from Tractor Supply. They have all been doing great the last few days! Off to bed, headed to the farmers market in Hubbard early to set up, woot woot!

Yeah, I've got an old lady light brahma, she was one of my first chickens and when I saw them I decided I'd like another one in my flock. They are such laid back birds!
