I hope it's a wire crate. You need ventilation. But the wire crate will need to be strategically wrapped in chicken wire to keep the chicks from wandering out between the crate wires.Thank you so much for this! I put a 4" board up on one side and a 6" board on the other side to keep the babies in for now. I went to Tractor Supply last night and got a 4.5' by 4.5' dog cage with a pitched roof that I can put inside the big chicken coop. I will try to get that done today before they all go inside for the night. The rooster is pretty aggressive with me, so I have to wait until I have help to get all of that done
