Are these the 'worms' that you are talking about thst look like gross sausages?

Yes, it looks like you can see little granules of the grain inside them. I've been wondering why I've never noticed poop like this in chicks before and the only thing I can think of that would be different is that I have these on medicated feed and I don't normally feed medicated.

I'm no expert, for sure. I've had chickens for many years, though, and have incubated and have had many in brooders. Common sense would tell me that a day old chick doesn't have full grown worms of any kind. I'd go with sluffing.

I'm having the exact same issue. My 2 chicks are no more than 3-6 days old and pooping these exact same worms, which look like cecal worms from everything I've seen online. They are acting like normal chicks, cheeping, eating and drinking happily.

Welcome to BYC.
Chicks that young dont have worms. The time for cecal worms to embryonate alone is about 2 weeks. Please post a photo if you can, you might be dealing with maggots. Here's a photo of cecal worms:

Well if it's not worms, what the heck is going on? They keep pooping what looks exactly like worms, and most people say it doesn't look normal. One thread said it could be coccidiosis. They said it doesn't have to be bloody poop to be coccidiosis, as there are different kinds. I've dealt with coccidiosis before and I do have some Corid. Should I go ahead and treat just in case?
