Baby Chicks

One of our hens went broody so we bought 12 fertilized eggs, we now have 8 chicks. They're 3-4 days old, mom is pretty protective. When is it ok to start handling the chicks?

you can handle them as soon as they're born there's no harm, just make sure you keep them warm
