Okay thanks but I I don't know what to do if the ducklings starts to hatch because my duck wants to raise the baby but she sees the crack starting in the shells and she tries to dispose of the egg not realizing that her check is in there so I'm not sure if I should leave it with her or put it under my chicken light to let it hatch like I did with my chicken eggsDepends. Typically ducks are slow hatchers, so it might take a while.
Thanks she has two baby chickens that she's been letting go under her because she incubated them but she was just scared that their shells are cracking so she took the eggs out of the coop to dispose of them but now that the babies are out she lets them go under her and she's being a mama duck to themShe'll hear the duckling, and her hormones will kick in. It'll be fine, just leave her to it.
I see the duckling moving inside of the egg shell but it's not making any peeping noises is it close to being ready it's close to the air bubble at the back of the eggThat happened because chickens hatch a week earlier than ducks. She wasn't ready for hatching.
