Baby duck not blinking?

I opened my duck egg after it was pushed out of the nest to find it full-grown with its eyes not blinking, Is is dead or is that supposed to happen once they are out of the egg? Any advice?

If it was alive it would move, making chewing motions with the beak, etc. There would also be blood in the membranes that it was working on absorbing. Are you keeping it warm still? Can you post a picture?
