Baby duck umbilical cord

Hi am hoping someone can advise , have a duckling in the incubator that pipped too early and not through the air sac , left it for 50 hours with no progress and the membrane started to shrink wrap, assisted with the hatching and found egg sac , left for another 18 hours and the duckling is still attached to bottom of shell by umbilical cord I think , everythingbis starting to look greeny gray

No yolk almost fully absorbed , I investigated a bit more and it was attached by sticky mucous to the egg , umbilical cord was detached and no blood , I cleared the mucus and put it back in the incubator bit it can't stand ir lift it's head

So it isn't still attached to the blob in the picture? from all, I have read when we assist it takes them longer to recover so that may be what your seeing. Do you have any poultry vitamins You could mix some in warm water an try to use a dropper and put some right along the bill on the outside, Just one drop at a time so the little one doesn't aspirate. Wrapping in a soft wash cloth so the duckling is more upright will also help.
@HollowOfWisps has more experience at bator hatching.

@WVduckchick
How long has it been since it hatched?

No it's no longer attached , just seems weak , it hatched yesterday at 1pm so 24 hours ago ,should I wrap and leave in incubator ?

If dry you can move to the brooder unless there are other ducklings that might step all over this one. When I said wrap in a soft cloth that was just when trying to give some water that way you can hold the duckling and keep it warm and from aspirating while trying to giving drops of warm water. Since it hasn't been quite 24 hrs since hatch it may not be hungry or thristy yet they can live off the yolk they absorbed for 2-3 days after hatch. Maybe try offering some vitamin water mid day today and see how it accepts it.
