If you can pick up "poultry cell" by rooster booster that is what I use in these situations. Fill up the cap and dunk the bottom half of it's bill in it a little (not up to it's nares). It might take a couple of times before you see it start to chew which means it has some in it's bill then stop and let it be. Assisted hatches are always much much weaker than natural hatches and often have trouble walking/standing. They also usually take longer to want to eat/drink because of the delay in yolk absorption. I've found that they almost always show signs of vitamin deficiency and need good boost of vitamins along with time for the vitamins to absorb before they are able to be mobile. So duckling won't drink , dry so put under brooder left for an hour to find it flailing about outside brooder have popped it into a wee box with clean cloth to support it upright and to stop it moving away from heat , is this OK?
I can try in the morning , seems to have perked up a bit but still not drinking , guessing that's OK as yolk only absorbed this morningDo you happen to have or can get liquid baby vitamins without iron? That will work in a pinch until you can get poultry vitamins.
