Baby Peking duck with swollen shut eye. The eye has white film over it. Bought from TSC Thursday and the eye seemed to be not as open as other. Has since closed completely and is swollen.

Have you discussed this with your feed store, possibly getting a replacement duckling? I would take a picture of the eye and let them know. You can alao post it here. Most feed stores sell Terramycin eye ointment if you ask for it, and that would be good to put into the 2-3 times a day. If there is crust or gunk in the eye, clean it out first.

I got some terramycin for the eye. The duck is my daughters so I will not be able to trade. She already is in love with it.
TSC store manager told me he hadn’t heard of any more issues with the batch of ducks. This is our first. I just hope we can get the little fluff ball better. He eats and drinks good.

It may have been pecked in the eye, so hopefully it will heal. I just meant that they should give you another healthy duckling, jusy in case this one is blind or does not make it.
