Baby ducklings or frogs? (PICS!)

When my runners were babies, sometimes they went under water and swam around. usually they just darted back and forth in the tub. But my new ducklings, esp my Mallard Sammy, really love swimming around under water. Sammy will stay under water for 5-10 seconds at a time and then float up to the surface like a submarine. lol... Yesterday I sat at the shore of Lake Ontario at lunch time, watching the wild mallards and canadian geese. I was amazed at how long the mallards could stay under water! I started counting and some would stay under for 40 seconds! I thought they'd been swallowed up by something.

They are so much fun to watch in the bathtub. Can't wait until I get a few more babies to pamper in the bathtub.
