Feed them green peas. Thawed out frozen ones are the favorites. They need the extra niacin. I feed mine (soaked for 24 hours) dried green peas too. They love them. You can also sprinkle nutritional yeast on their for or go with brewers yeast.I had recused 4 duckling they were placed in a storage tote till I took them in. When they are trying to walk they are stepping on their feet and the legs are wanting to buckle out. Any tips on how to fix it?
My duckling is exactly the same she's healthy and eating and drinking well but struggling to walk properly.... its like as if her legs are too far apart and it's quite noticeable next to her sibling who is thriving and running around and getting bigger every day ... I'm feeding her lots of green peas and I'm about to start her on Brewers yeast as I've heard this can help?Feed them green peas. Thawed out frozen ones are the favorites. They need the extra niacin. The improvement shows up very quickly, if indeed, niacin deficiency is the issue.
Good luck
If there is already a noticeable issue I would skip the brewers yeast and give them a more direct dose. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/niacin-deficiency-in-waterfowl.75862/My duckling is exactly the same she's healthy and eating and drinking well but struggling to walk properly.... its like as if her legs are too far apart and it's quite noticeable next to her sibling who is thriving and running around and getting bigger every day ...
